My name is Ayu, and I was born in a small village nestled on a beautiful mountain, where I was created with love by skilled hands. From the moment I was brought to life, I knew I had a special purpose: to bring joy, color, and warmth into the world.

The journey of AYU began over 40 years ago, when the family behind Saga Copenhagen, Ole and Charlotte, were drawn to the teachings of Rudolf Steiner and the Waldorf philosophy. This inspiration led them to enroll their children in the local Waldorf school in Odense, where they nurtured a strong sense of community, creativity, and holistic learning. Charlotte, in particular, became an expert in the art of doll-making, a passion she passed on to her daughter, Ida. Over the years, Charlotte created countless Waldorf dolls, each one carefully sewn with love and attention to detail.

Ayu is not just a doll; she is a symbol of the family’s dedication to preserving the essence of Waldorf philosophy, which emphasizes natural materials, individual expression, and a connection to the world around us. The family’s long-standing relationship with the Waldorf community and their commitment to making dolls that reflect these values led them to create the perfect doll in Ayu.
